May 2022 saw us return from the enforced break in gigging due to the pandemic. We played two shows, one at Poole Hill Brewery in Bournemouth and one at The Maidens Head in Maidenhead.
Out By Nine are a hard-working originals rock band based out of Reading, Berkshire that have played all over the South of England. We were brought together in 2014 by a mutual love of guitar riffs and good old catchy melodies.
Our diverse personal tastes in music has meant for an eclectic set list. From all out hard rock tracks, through to funky tunes made for getting your groove on, to slower, powerful ballads. We also throw in a good selection of classic covers for an audience sing-a-long.
In 2017 we released out debut album ‘From Ashes Comes Fire’ – a collection of original work dating back from our formation to new songs written especially for the recording sessions. We are very proud of it. If you plan on coming to see us we encourage you to give it a stream or a download beforehand as our setlists feature the majority of these songs.
We have been likened at times to the Kings of Leon, The Killers, The Verve and David Bowie amongst others. But with influences as diverse as Motörhead, Neil Young, Tom Petty, R.E.M and Red Hot Chili Peppers, it’s tough to pigeon hole the music. We all share a love of choruses and catchy hooks, so we refuse to call ourselves anything other than a straight forward rock band that love performing in front of an audience that like to enjoy themselves!
